The Gleneagles Hotel is a magnificent 'French chateau' set amid gently rolling hills in the heart of Scotland. Established in 1924, the hotel was soon acclaimed 'the palace in the glens' and continues to attract those in search of rest, relaxation and exhilaration. Three championship golf courses are among the very best in the world; The King's, The Queen's and The PGA Centenary, host venue for the Ryder Cup 2014.

Golf at The King’s course.
The King's Course, opened in 1919, is a masterpiece of golf course design, which has tested the aristocracy of golf, both professional and amateur. James Braid's plan for the King's Course was to test even the best players' shot-making skills over the eighteen holes.

Golf at Saint Andrews Castle Course
Saint Andrews Castle Course is the last jewel opened in 2008 at Saint Andrews. In the tradition of the pure links, it plays on cliffs overlooking the sea and the historic townscape below, making for one of golf's more unique stages.  It comes complete with blind shots, cliff carries, severely sloped greens and stunning vistas (you can see St. Andrews Bay from every hole, and the city from most greens and/or tees).
Given the preponderance of blind tee shots and visual illusions around the greens, first-time visitors are strongly encouraged to heed the advice of their caddie

Carnoustie golf course
Carnoustie golf course

Golf at Carnoustie Old Course
Venue of the British Open, Golf has been played over the links at Carnoustie since the 1500’s but the present course came into being in 1850 when it was designed by Alan Robertson of St Andrews.
Some 20 years later the legendary Old Tom Morris improved and extended the course to 18 holes and in 1926 the famous architect James Braid redesigned the Championship course extensively.
The course as it was in 1937 is much as it is today and the challenge the modern golfer takes on is the one which confronted the player nearly 70 years ago.  Carnoustie Championship course is now in the finest condition it has ever been. Not only does it offer the ultimate challenge to every golfer but it provides a playing quality second to none.

Opened in 2001, Kingsbarns is already rated as one of the best links course in the World. Kyle Philips has designed an authentic gem respecting the tradition of the Scottish Links with undulating and bumping fairways, pot bunkers, and fast greens with slopes that will not be easy to read for first visitors.
Offering stunning views on the sea, Kingbarns is a jewel that must not be missed when golfing in Saint Andrews area. Kingbarns, hosts every year with Carnoustie and the Old Course the Dunhills Links Championship, one of the most important European PGA Tour event. A true challenge
